It was never a question what Jeremy's dad, Gene, was born to do. He had a desire to be involved in the ministry and, after many years of being behind the scenes, God opened a door that he and his wife, Barbara would walk through. He was assigned a pastoral position through Village Missions to a church in Fieldbrook, California. Their home church who supports them gave them a commissioning dinner. Gene's mom and aunt came all the way from Illinois to be a part of this special time. After being a part of that church for 18 years, it was a bittersweet occasion. We were all very excited about what the Lord was going to do but, it was not without sadness of their leaving. After all, they were now going to be a 6 hour drive away and Haley was not going to have one set of grandparents close by. Here are some pictures of the dinner as well as the B-B-Q we had with the family.
I'm a big city girl with a small town heart who has been blessed with the amazing opportunity to quit teaching in order to focus full time on my precious daughter. My husband, Jeremy, works hard as an electrician to provide me the luxury of staying home. My desire is to use this blog as a means of recording the rich blessings God has given my family and I give Him all the glory.
